July 9th, 2011 - Family Overnight
Spend the night on a WWII battleship! Sleep in restored Navy bunks, eat meals "chow-line style" in the Officer's Wardroom, and rise and shine to the sound of reveille. Guests will enjoy all-day admission, three delicious meals, and will have the opportunity to participate in shipboard activities.

August 12th and 13th : 6:30pm, 2011 - U.S. Victory Canteen- An USO inspired 1940's musical review held under the stars on the fantail of the Battleship Massachusetts.
A Fall River Little Theatre production created by Al Deston, directed by Kathy Castro & choreographed by Cory David Santos. Whether the music came from one of the many big bands of the era or from the Box, it was the best. There's dance as well as song and some moments to tickle your funny bone. It's a night you will long remember. Casual attire. Parking at the FR Carousel. Open seating. $25/ticket. Rain date August 14th. Opening night reception at nearby Marine Museum. September 3rd and 4th, 2011 - World War II Weekend at Battleship Cove
See history come alive with re-enactors from the USS Massachusetts Living History Group recreate a WWII Navy ships company and Marine detachment as it was during the Second World War. Talk with veterans and relive the history of that important time. Special programs scheduled throughout the day are FREE with paid admission. A history event for the entire family. Open 9 AM - 4:30 PM Rain or Shine.

September 10th, 2011 - Family Overnight

September 11th, 2011 : 8:30AM - Rite of Reflection Ceremony
In honor of the tenth anniversary of the nation's most deadly attack, Battleship Cove will conduct a Remembrance Ceremony along with delegations from area Fire and Police Departments. There will be a wreath casting followed by a 21-gun salute. The ceremony is open to the public.

September 18th, 2011 : 1:00PM - POW/MIA Ceremony
Battleship Cove will host a reflective ceremony in honor of Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Day at 1:00 PM on the deck of the battleship USS MASSACHUSETTS. The Legion's POW/MIA Committee will sponsor the ceremony. The ceremony is open to the public.

October 7th, 2011 : 10:00AM - USS JOSEPH P. KENNEDY JR. 17TH ANNUAL REUNION
Friends and former crewmembers of the USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr will celebrate the 17th annual reunion of their Gearing- class destroyer, which served with great distinction during the Korean War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and NASA's Space Program. The 10 AM memorial service and wreath laying are open to the public.

October 29th, 2011 : 3:00 to 5:00PM - Creepy Carousel
Special children's Halloween Party at the Fall River Carousel geared for younger children, ages 12 & under. Costume contests, candy hunts, ghost stories, crafts, face painting, and cupcake decorating. $10 pp. Call for reservations - space limited. 508-678-1100 x 101.

November 11th, 2011 - Veteran's Day at Battleship Cove
FREE ADMISSION FOR VETERANS: all active duty, retired and reserve military personnel who show proof of service will be honored with free admission to Battleship Cove! Open 9 AM to 4:30 PM

November 12th, 2011 : 1:00 to 3:00PM - Princess Party at the Fall River Carousel
Calling all princesses to the royal court for unlimited rides on the Carousel. Make your own princess jewelry. Enjoy a royal make-over. Dine on delicious snacks and princess punch. $10 per person. Call for reservations now-space is limited. 508-678-1100 x 101.

November 24th, 2011 - Thanksgiving Day

December 7th, 2011 - Pearl Harbor Day at Battleship Cove
Battleship Cove will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor by hosting a brief ceremony at 12:55 PM - the exact hour of the Japanese strike. Located on the Battleship Massachusetts, the service will include wreath-casting rites prefaced by brief remarks from Battleship Cove's executive director. Ceremony is open to the public.

December 17th, 2011 : 8:00AM to 12:00PM - Breakfast with Santa at the Fall River Carousel
Get ready for the season by making plans to attend the annual Carousel's Breakfast with Santa from 8 am to noon. Families can enjoy a delicious hot breakfast plus, kids will have fun making special holiday craft, there will be face painting, Carousel rides, and more. Bring your camera for a photo opportunity with Santa. Seating is limited, reservations are required. Call 508-678-1100 to reserve your seating.
