It's the 100-year anniversary of the Wright brothers' first successful flight, a perfect occasion to help us reinterpret the fascinating story of aviation.

For 2004, Battleship Cove has planned a number of exciting new projects related to flight, such as:

A special exhibit featuring working vintage WWII aircraft engines on loan from Pratt & Whitney
Repainting the Bell "Huey" helicopter
Repainting the T-28 Trojan
Continued refurbishment of the drone antisubmarine helicopter exhibit on board USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr.

PHYSICS OF FLIGHT: Celebrate a century of flight as you examine a carrier plane, two helicopter gunships, and more than 300 model aircraft. Construct take-home flying machines as you study the evolution of aviation and thrust technology through activities that decipher scientific laws like Bernoulli’s Principle and Newton’s Laws of Motion.
