Bicentennial Birthday Bash
Public invited to watch fireworks from Battleship Massachusetts

Fall River:
Fall River's 200th birthday will begin with a bang on Saturday, September 6th. The festivities include a "family day" on the waterfront, which will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Heritage State Park. The event will feature a 50-piece Air Force Band, live entertainment and an array of foods.

At 9:15 p.m. (doors open at 7:30 p.m.) the public is invited to view a dazzling fireworks display from the city's famous WWII battleship, "Big Mamie." The U.S.S. Massachusetts will fire a five-inch salvo as fireworks illuminate the sky. Tickets to watch this spectacle from the battleship are only $4 and are on sale now.
